We at BioWaste take the responsibility of treating your waste very seriously. Our autoclave is periodically tested to ensure that your waste is 100% non-infectious once treatment is completed. The use of biological indicators a device that contains a type of microorganism that can only be killed when exposed to sterilizing conditions is an extremely important component in the success of our treatment. The biological indicator contains the bacteria Geobacillus stearothermophillus in its spore stage. This microbe is highly resistant to steam sterilization therefore is the perfect test subject that guarantees optimum conditions necessary for steam sterilizations have been met.
Autoclave is a machine that uses pressure and steam for a period of time to achieve and maintain sterilization. High steam temperatures and pressure are key ingredients to successfully sterilize and kill microorganisms and spores.
Once the waste is treated biological indicators are removed from waste and are measured afterwards to test for the effectiveness of the sterilization process.
The biological indicators are incubated for 24 hours, after incubation time we can determine the effectiveness of the sterilization process.
Waste to Energy Incineration
Our waste to energy incineration is achieved by introducing the waste to a combustion chamber at extreme temperatures. This combustion chamber is a self –sustained process. During the process of burning the heat from the fire is used to make steam, witch turns a turbine driven generator to produce electricity or used to heat industrial processes.
Pollution is control with equipment is used to cool, collect and clean combustion gases. This equipment is under state and federal standards. The residual material from the combustion process is collected for processing and metal extraction. Any ferrous and non-ferrous metals are extracted for recycling. This process also reduces the volume of said waste by 80% before being disposed at a landfill.
